ImageMrs Sigrid Jean Pillow is the proprietor of Green Bank and registered service provider. She lives in Bexhill, close to the Home. She has over 23 years’ experience of working in the care field, and has a background in personnel management and counselling. She and has completed several Management Courses related to care.

The day-to-day management of the Home is carried out by Mrs Pillow’s son, William Pillow, the registered manager.  He was promoted to the post of manager in May 2008, after serving as deputy manager since 2002.  William also lives close to the Home in Bexhill, and has a background in teaching.  He holds a LLB (Hons) Degree in Law, and an LLM Postgraduate Degree in Family Law and Policy.  Over the last few years, he has completed several management and care skills courses, and in 2008 obtained a NVQ Level 4 Registered Managers Award.

William is assisted in the management of the home by Cosmas Rafunya, the deputy manager, who has been with Green Bank since August 2011, and has a background in management.

The residents at Green Bank are supported by a team of 15 full time carers, together with a full time cook, housekeeper and laundry assistant.  All staff within the Home have undergone thorough background and suitability checks prior to their employment, and undertake continuous training in dementia care, first aid, safe moving and handling, food hygiene, adult protection, fire safety and medication management. Twelve care staff currently hold, or are undertaking training towards, a NVQ Level 2 qualification in Care.

Green Bank is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as a residential care home, providing care to elderly people who have Dementia, or Dementia related condition.
